- Completed B.E. (Fire) from National Fire Services College (NFSC), Nagpur. (OR)
- B.E. / B.Tech else equivalent 4-year degree course in Fire Technology, Fire Engineering, or Safety & Fire Engineering from a university approved by AICTE or UGC. (OR)
- Bachelor’s degree in any 3-year course from a university approved by AICTE or UGC, along with the Divisional Officer’s Professional Courses - Training - NFSC Nagpur. (OR)
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a university recognised by AICTE or UGC, along with the Station Officer’s Course from NFSC, Nagpur, with a minimum of 60% marks

Fire Safety Officer – Job Profile/Roles and Responsibilities:-
- Take full guidance for fire safety across all high-risk buildings owned or used by the indian Bank, including bank offices, branches, and staff residences.
- Clear Plan Draft and implement the Bank’s fire safety policy to ensure uniform, perfect safety standards at every location of the Indian Bank.
- Prepare fire safety instructions well and emergency response plans, also, and ensure they are properly circulated to all bank personnel and followed strictly.
- Conduct regular training sessions for all building occupants on how to use fire-fighting equipment, tools, and follow evacuation procedures during emergency cases.
- Keep all fire-fighting tools and systems in excellent working condition at all times for regular checks.
- Provide hands-on training to firemen and security guards posted at the Indian Bank premises to handle fire-related situations confidently.
- Maintain close coordination with the local fire department for timely support and guidance.
- Ensure strict compliance with fire safety norms and preventive measures in all Indian Bank buildings.
- Assist the Indian Bank’s planning team in designing new buildings with proper fire safety precautions.
- Work under the overall supervision of the Chief Security Officer of the Indian Bank.
- Carry out regular inspections, Checks of high-rise buildings and key Bank offices, and submit a suggestions letter to improve the existing fire safety arrangements system.
